The state government decided to give Diwali gifts and expensive allowances to government employees

The state government has given gifts to the employees before the Diwali festivities. The state government has announced the remaining dearness allowance to the employees of the organization receiving government grants, including employees and officials. Announcing this, Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said that the allowance was to be paid for 6 months from September 1, 2019, but the government postponed the payment due to the decline in government revenue due to Corona.

But now that all activities have resumed, the revenue of the state government has increased. Nitin Patel said government employees were owed a total of 6 months' dearness allowance. Out of which current 3 months dearness allowance will be paid. On the other hand, the state government has also announced a bonus of up to Rs 3,500 for Class 4 employees.

The state government has already given a party to government employees before Diwali. Under which Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Bhai Patel while addressing a press conference today gave details in this regard. In which he has announced to give 3 months dearness allowance to the employees of the state government.

Deputy Chief Minister Nitinbhai Patel has said that the state government had decided to give 5% inflation allowance to more than nine lakh officers / employees and pensioners of the state government from 01.08.2018. This expensive allowance is being paid with salary every month from January 2020. From 01.03.2018 to 31.12.2018, the difference in the total allowance of 3 months was to be paid to the state employees and pensioners.

He further said that after consultation with Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani, the officers / employees / pensioners will be able to celebrate Diwali in a better way. It has been decided to pay this difference of three months dearness allowance to the employees / pensioners before the Diwali festival in view of the present Diwali festival. This will put a total burden of Rs 5 crore on the state government and will benefit a total of 4,11,17 state government employees and 4,50,203 pensioners.
