Link the ration card to Aadhaar in this way, otherwise you will not get the benefit of this government facility

The central government has extended the deadline for linking ration cards to Aadhaar in view of the lockdown. Cheap wheat, rice and pulses are being distributed to the poor through ration cards amid the Koro crisis. The government has also launched the 'One Nation-One Ration Card' scheme. Under this scheme, rations can be taken anywhere on a single ration card from a Public Distribution System (PDS) shop. Note that the last date for linking ration card with Aadhaar has been extended to September 30. However, after this, if the ration card is not linked to Aadhaar, the beneficiaries will not be able to get cheap ration from PDS.

The Center has said that no beneficiary will be denied rations of their share unless the Ministry of Consumer Affairs issues clear instructions to all the States and Union Territories. Currently, no ration card will be canceled because it is not linked to Aadhaar, or anyone's name can be removed from the list of beneficiaries. Following this clear order of the government, people can link their ration card with Aadhaar card till September 30.

So far, 90 per cent of the country's 23.5 crore ration cards are connected to Aadhaar. The Central Government has introduced 'One Nation-One Ration Card' ration card portability service from June 1 in the states and union territories. The Center said the scheme would provide foodgrains to migrant workers and economically weaker people during the lockdown imposed by the Corona virus. The scheme has been implemented in several states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Haryana, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Himachal Pradesh.
