Apart from Jan Dhan, PMGKY, Free LPG Cylinder, these other government schemes also have discount benefits, take advantage soon

Many women currently living in villages and cities are unaware of many other government schemes that could directly benefit them. After the lockdown in the country, the central government started transferring money directly to people's accounts to provide relief. Out of this Rs.500 per month is deposited in Jan Dhan account under Jan Dhan Yojana Jan Dhan. Similarly, money is being deposited in the account under PMGKY under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana. What is special is that the amount of Jandhan accounts was given to the women's account. Free LPG connections are also being distributed under the Ujjawala scheme. Here we are going to tell you about similar banking schemes, home loan schemes, government schemes, rules and provisions, in which women have been given huge benefits and exemptions.

Offer, this is the benefit

The banking sector has given such a good leeway to women. Most banking, non-banking institutions offer women home loans at lower interest rates than men. Women get home loans at 0.05% lower interest rates than men. The reason behind this is that loan financing companies consider it safe to give loans to women.

These plans offer low interest loans

Women have a significant presence in real estate in metro cities. About 30 percent of property buyers here are women. Many home loan schemes for working women have surfaced. These plans have home loan options at discounted interest rates. Many lenders have offered low interest home loans to women under schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, HDFC Woman Power.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

The scheme has been launched by the Government of India to provide affordable housing to the people, which will run till March 31, 2022. The scheme has several benefit provisions for women. Preference is given to widows, single women, SC-ST class women, disabled, employed women. There is a subsidy of about Rs 2.5 lakh from the government for registration of houses in the name of women, but the condition is that the house must be first.

Learn what are the benefits of this plan

  • The maximum age of the beneficiary women should be up to 70 years

  • The annual income of EWS should be less than Rs 3 lakh

  • The annual income of LIG should be Rs. 3 to 6 lakhs

  • MIG should have an annual income of Rs. 6 to 18 lakhs

  • Relatives of women beneficiaries should not have any other assets anywhere in the country.

HDFC Bank's Woman Power Scheme

HDFC Bank last year launched a special scheme called Woman Power. The idea was that women could buy in their own name. Under the scheme, HDFC Bank offers home loans to women at an annual interest rate of 9.85. HDFC Bank, like other banks, offers this to all women who are sole proprietors or shareholders in the property. HDFC Bank's scheme is also beneficial for women who have no source of income of their own.

0.50 per cent discount on interest rates

HDFC Bank's scheme offers women a 0.5 per cent discount on home loans. In doing so, the banking sector is playing its role in making women self-reliant in society.

So many home loan schemes

Many institutions in the banking sector offer home loan schemes, with special provisions for women. If women are more applicants than men, they get a discount in interest rates. These include SBI Home Loan, HDFC Home Loan, ICICI Home Loan, AXIS Home Loan, DHFL, Bank of Baroda Home Loan, LIC Home Loan, UCO Bank Home Loan and VIJYA Bank Home Loan etc. Women in these plans do not lack options and they can choose the best deal according to their convenience.

Exemption is also available in stamp duty

If a woman buys property, she usually gets a one or two percent rebate on stamp duty. Women benefit from these good savings.

Women get this benefit because they are applicants

Whether it is a home loan or any other loan, it is seen nowadays that banks or financial institutions are insisting on involving a co-applicant in every case. This co-applicant must be a woman. This is because living with women makes them more likely to get a loan. Before providing a home loan, many banks or institutions look at the applicant's income, liabilities, assets, age, CBIL score, credit capacity, value of the property, and the borrower's repayment capacity. But if the woman is with or the applicant is a woman herself, they get a home loan at a better interest rate. This facility is for both working women and housewives.

Sukanya Samrudhi Yojana

Sukanya Samrudhi Yojana was launched by the Central Government in December 2014. Under this, bank accounts are opened for girls from birth to 10 years. In this, any citizen can open an account in the nearest bank or post office. One thousand rupees has to be deposited for this. The main objective of the scheme is to save money for the education of daughters.
