The nationwide lockdown has been extended for another two weeks, now the central government has decided to implement it till May 17.

This is the third time that the central government has extended the lockdown in response to the Corona crisis. As per the decision announced on Friday evening, the lockdown, which ends on May 3, has been extended by two more weeks. India now has a total of 56 days of lockdown.

The decision to stop the ever-increasing Corona case

The Home Ministry has announced an extension of two more weeks before the second term of the nationwide lockdown expires on May 3. The lockdown period has been extended to curb the rising number of cases of corona infection across the country and especially the fruitful results of strict lockdown compliance so far. The Home Ministry will soon issue new guidelines in this regard. Rail services, bus service, metro, air service (international and domestic) will be closed for the next two weeks. Apart from this, schools, colleges and malls will also be closed.

Will be strictly adhered to in the cluster area

Partial concessions may be available in the Red, Orange and Green zones as earlier decided by the state governments. However, the lockdown will be strictly observed in the cluster area.
